5th Bolu International Poster Design Competition: Celebrating Creativity and Advocacy for Disability Equality

The 5th Bolu International Poster Design Competition is set to take place on December 3, 2024, coinciding with World Disability Day. Organized by Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Education, this esteemed global event invites designers from around the world to submit their creative works on the theme "Disabled Individuals in Society".

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of "Good Health & Well-being" and "Reduced Inequalities", the competition aims to foster awareness and generate impactful discussions about the societal integration and rights of disabled individuals. Participants are encouraged to explore a wide range of sub-themes, including disability equality, social participation, accessibility, and more.

The competition is open to students and professionals in the field of poster design and related disciplines, with no age or nationality restrictions. Designs submitted must address the main theme and explore one or more of the specified sub-themes. The event will feature a physical exhibition at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University’s art gallery, showcasing selected posters that best capture the essence of the theme.

In addition to the exhibition, a digital catalogue of the selected works will be published, providing lasting visibility and recognition for the designers. Participants whose works are chosen for the exhibition will receive a digital participation certificate, while the top three designs will be awarded a symbolic BIAH Certificate of Achievement. The overall winner will gain the prestigious opportunity to serve on the jury for the next BIAH event.
